LGV Driver Assessment and Corrective Training

Aims:

• Assess the drivers current standard
• Recommend and provide the relevant corrective transport training

Course Objectives:

• Identify strengths and weaknesses
• Develop new and enhance existing skills
• Recognise the principles of defensive driving
• Identify driving hazards

Learning Outcomes:

• Have a greater awareness of factors that can affect performance
• Understand the principles of defensive driving 
• Develop a risk assessment approach to hazards

Assessment:

• Take part in an assessment drive to identify their strengths and weaknesses.  
• Receive continued feedback to emphasise key improvement areas with ongoing input and guidance from the instructor 
• Participate in a written assessment at the end of the course

Certification:

On completion of the course a certificate of attendance will be issued to all candidates and their details will be recorded on the Driving Standards Agency Database (as required by legislation). Candidates who pass the written assessment will receive a certificate of achievement from TIR Training Services Limited.
