Vehicle Checking and Defect Reporting

Aim

Provide the relevant information required to carry out a daily vehicle check and complete documentation correctly. 

Course Objectives

  • Correctly identify key components to be checked
  • The procedure for carrying out the checks
  • Introduction and completion of check sheets and defect reports

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand their legal duty and responsibility
  • Demonstrate the competence to carry out a thorough vehicle check and complete relevant paperwork
  • Comply with health and safety

Assessment

  • Practical assessment in the form of a walk around check
  • written assessment at the end of the course

Certification

On completion of the CPC driver training course a certificate of attendance will be issued to all candidates and their details will be recorded on the Driving Standards Agency Database (as required by legislation). Candidates who pass the written assessment will receive a certificate of achievment from TIR Training Services Limited.
